Jake Lange enters his second season as an offensive assistant at the University of West Florida, where he coaches the quarterbacks for the Argonaut football program.

Under Lange’s guidance, UWF’s quarterback room delivered an outstanding 2025 season. Marcus Stokes nearly doubled his production from the previous year, passing for 3,297 yards and 30 touchdowns while adding 367 rushing yards and 10 scores. He also recorded a 164.0 passing efficiency rating and improved his completion percentage from 53 percent to 60 percent.

Stokes’ breakout season earned him Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Year and D2CCA Super Region 2 Offensive Player of the Year honors, along with recognition as a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy.

Lange joined head coach Kaleb Nobles’ staff in 2025 after concluding his collegiate playing career at Delta State. He spent the 2024 season with the Statesmen and served as a team captain under head coach Todd Cooley.

Before attending Delta State, Lange played at Southern Mississippi from 2020 to 2023. He joined the program as a walk-on quarterback in 2020 before leading the Golden Eagles in passing yards and passing touchdowns in 2021 under head coach Will Hall. During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Lange appeared in 25 games as the team’s holder on special teams while also serving as a backup quarterback.

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Lange played at Jackson Prep under legendary high school coach Ricky Black.

Lange earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a master’s degree in Performance Management from Southern Mississippi. He later received a master’s degree in Education from Delta State.
