Keaton Laurendine

Keaton Laurendine enters his second year as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at the University of West Florida, serving as a key liaison between UWF Athletics, the media, and several athletic programs. He is the primary media contact for the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis programs.

In his role, Laurendine helps manage GoArgos.com, writes press releases, maintains statistical records, and oversees official team communications across digital and social media platforms. He also produces creative content, including graphics, photography, and video, while supporting the daily operations of the athletic communications office.

During his first year with the Argonauts, Laurendine oversaw communications efforts for four nationally ranked programs during UWF’s record-breaking final Division II season. All four programs under his coverage won Gulf South Conference championships and advanced to the NCAA Tournament, with men’s tennis reaching the national semifinals.

Laurendine also assisted with communications surrounding several major department milestones, including the hiring of head men’s basketball coach Tanner Smith, the groundbreaking of Darrell Gooden Stadium, and UWF’s transition to NCAA Division I.

Before joining UWF, Laurendine spent two years as a Public Relations Assistant with Florida State University Athletics, serving as the primary media contact for the nationally ranked beach volleyball program. In that role, he managed Seminoles.com content, wrote press releases, coordinated media relations, and supervised creative content and game-day coverage for the Seminoles.

During his two seasons as the beach volleyball contact, the Seminoles made two appearances in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association championship match, winning the title in 2024. Florida State also advanced to the NCAA National Tournament in both seasons, reaching the quarterfinals each year. Laurendine represented three AVCA All-Americans and numerous CCSA award winners during his time with the program.

His experience at FSU also included time as a Sports Information Student Intern, where he assisted with live statistics, event operations, and press box responsibilities across multiple athletic events.

A native of Pensacola, Florida, Laurendine earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Florida State University in 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of West Florida.
