PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of West Florida men's basketball team will continue their 2014-15 season when they travel to Mobile, Ala. to take on Spring Hill College on Nov. 22. The Argonauts will then face the Badgers again on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for their home opener at 7 p.m. CT
The Badgers are currently 0-4 on the season and are coming off a 77-57 loss to Mississippi College.
Moore named GSC Player of the Week
University of West Florida men's basketball student-athlete
Demetrius Moore (Paxton, Fla./Indiana State University) has been named the Gulf South Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Moore earned the award after he averaged 19.5 points, 16 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in two games for the Argonauts.
Moore opened the season with a 15 point, 14 rebound performance against Albany State University in the first game of the GSC vs. SIAC Challenge. He recorded is second straight double-double the next day in a 77-69 win against Lane College where he totaled a career high 24 points and 18 rebounds.
The Paxton, Florida native earned this award for the first time of his career and is the first GSC Player of the Week in the 2014-15 campaign.
