This is the 36th season of West Florida women's basketball. UWF has an all-time record of 484-455 (.517) in 939 games. UWF is 167-139 (.546) in 21 seasons of Gulf South Conference play. The Argonauts have made four NCAA Tournament appearances, including each of the last two seasons. UWF won its first-ever GSC Championship two years ago.

ABOUT UWF
* Fourth-year head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton has four starters and eight letterwinners back from last year's 20-win squad that finished second in the GSC regular season.
* In 2014-15 UWF advanced to the NCAA South Region Semifinals for the third time in school history and finished with its highest winning percentage (.670) since 2005-06. The Argos have won 39 games in the past two seasons.

SERIES HISTORY
* UWF and Spring Hill are meeting for the 24th time in women's basketball on Tuesday, with the Argos holding a 17-6 series lead. UWF has won the last 10 meetings dating back to the 2000-01 season. * Tuesday will be the only meeting in 2015-16 after the teams played a pair during Thanksgiving week a year ago. UWF won both games, 57-53 in Mobile on Nov. 22 and 87-72 on Nov. 25 in Pensacola.

RECAPPING THE OPENING WEEKEND
* UWF opened the season at the Spartan Challenge in Tampa on Nov. 13-14, dropping games at then No. 20 Tampa 77-52 and against Rollins 72-65. UWF shot just 37 percent in the two games and averaged 19 turnovers per contest.
* Jasmine Wigfall led the squad with 10 points per game but did so on 7-for-23 shooting. Belle Bistrow and Alex Coyne each had three 3-pointers while Coyne led the team with 6.5 assists per game.
