BYU HAWAII RESULTSALABAMA HUNTSVILLE RESULTS
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 8-ranked University of West Florida women's tennis team fell to No. 3 BYU Hawaii 3-6 and swept Gulf South Conference opponent Alabama Huntsville 5-0 at home on Friday afternoon at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. West Florida (13-3, 6-0 GSC) improves to 8-0 in matches against south region opponents and remains unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play.

Laure-Eline Faure (Toulouse, France) and
Monika Kochanova (Bratislava, Slovakia) fell to BYU Hawaii's No. 1-ranked doubles team of Nannan Zhang and Min Liu in a very close match by a score of 9-8. Kochanova and Faure drop to 0-2 on the year in matches against nationally ranked opponents.
Senior
Fernanda Amaral (Curitiba, Brazil) and junior
Nina Bubelova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) fell at number two doubles 8-6 and are now 1-1 on the year in matches against regionally ranked opponents. Junior
Katarina Dikosavljevic (Queensland, Australia) and sophomore
Lisa May (Oviedo, Fla.) won 9-7 at number three doubles and improve to 2-1 on the year.
Faure fell to No. 1 Zhang at number one singles by a score of 2-6, 4-6 and falls to 1-2 against nationally ranked opponents. No. 18 Kochanova defeated No. 4 Liu at number two singles by a score of 7-6, 6-3 and improves to 3-2 against nationally ranked opponents.
Dikosavljevic fell to No. 9 Tuionetoa 6-2, 2-6, 4-6 at number three singles and falls to 0-2 against nationally ranked opponents. Bubelova won at number four singles by a score of 6-3, 6-1 while Amaral fell 6-1, 2-6, 2-6 at number five singles.

Sarai Flores (Mexico City, Mexico) fell at number six singles by a score of 2-6, 6-3, 3-10

Heather May Walton (Winter Park, Fla.) won 8-0 at number three doubles.

Erica Lilja Eriksson (Kristinehamn, Sweden) won 6-4, 6-2 at number four singles. Junior
Giovana Patitucci (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won 6-0, 5-7, 6-4 at number five singles while Walton won 6-2, 6-0 at number six singles.
West Florida will next face Florida Southern on Saturday, March 28 at 9 a.m. CT before facing West Georgia later that day at Noon. West Florida will wrap up the weekend by facing Delta State on Sunday, March 29 at 9 a.m. CT before facing Christian Brothers later that day at 1 p.m. CT.
