GSC SEMIFINAL RESULTS
GSC QUARTERFINAL RESULTSMONTGOMERY, Ala. – The top-seeded University of West Florida women's tennis team advanced to the finals of the Gulf South Conference Tournament after sweeping a pair of opponents on Saturday. UWF swept the No. 8 seed West Georgia 5-0 in the quarterfinals before defeating the No. 4 seed North Alabama 5-0 in the semifinals.
West Florida (23-3, 10-0 GSC) extends its winning streak against Gulf South Conference opponents to 55 and advances to the conference championship match for the 21st straight season.
West Florida will next face the No. 2 seed Shorter in the GSC Tennis Tournament Championship on Sunday, April 19 at 10:30 a.m. UWF defeated SU 8-1 on March 6 in Rome, Georgia earlier this season.
The UWF women's tennis team will be looking for its fifth consecutive conference title and the programs 15
th overall on Sunday.

Monika Kochanova (Bratislava, Slovakia) won at number one doubles 8-0 while senior
Fernanda Amaral (Curitiba, Brazil) and junior
Nina Bubelova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) won at number two doubles 8-1.
Junior
Katarina Dikosavljevic (Queensland, Australia) and junior
Giovana Patitucci (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won at number three doubles 8-4.
Faure won 6-1, 6-0 at number one singles while Amaral won swept her opponent at number five singles 6-0, 6-0.
West Florida 5, West Georgia 0 No. 10 Faure and Kochanova won 8-0 at number one doubles while Amaral and Bubelova won at number two doubles 8-1. Dikosavljevic and Patitucci won 8-4 at number three singles.
No. 18 Kochanova won 6-1, 6-0 at number two singles while Bubelova won 6-1, 6-1 at number four singles.
