PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida football team has unveiled the program's first official uniforms. The uniforms will feature four different combinations for home and away, with the primary home uniform featuring a royal blue jersey with white pants and the primary away uniform featuring a white jersey with grey pants.
 
"When you see our uniforms you see the University of West Florida," UWF football offensive coordinator Jammie Deese said. "It is a jersey that our players are going to be excited about and I feel like it will resonate with our alumni, the student body and the members of the Pensacola community."
 
The uniform will include a Nike Modified Gunner Game Jersey with Nike Modified Gunner Game Pants, along with royal blue Nike Vapor Pro Low Cut and Nike Alpha Pro 2 3/4 cleats with black accents with a white Nike logo on the sides.
 
"I don't think I settled in on my top three designs until about six months into the design process," Deese said. "From there it was just making a decision on what we felt would fit the university and at the same time represent our players and make them excited as well. At one point in time I probably had 45 different uniform combinations that I was working with and I probably had about 70 helmet designs."
 
The home and away helmets will be metallic royal blue with a white fade feather wrap toward the bottom of the helmet that have specs of silver flakes highlighted by a white facemask and white chinstrap. The Argonaut head logo will be featured on both sides of the helmet with a one-inch white stripe running down the middle of the helmet.
 
"My thought process was to create a helmet that represented what Pensacola is about and a big part of that was the beach," Deese said. "When you talk about Pensacola, outside of the great people we have in the community, you talk about Pensacola Beach. We feel like the metallic blue catches the water but then as it fades down, the white represents the sand."
 
The primary home jersey will be royal blue and will have white numbers accented by a kelly green outline featured on the front and back of the jersey as well as on top of the shoulder pads. The primary home jersey will also feature 'West Florida' spelled out across the chest of the uniform and will have a white shoulder sleeve with blue and green stripes.
 
The primary away jersey will be white and will have royal blue numbers accented by a kelly green outline featured on the front and back of the jersey as well as on top of the shoulder pads. The primary away jersey will feature 'West Florida' spelled out across the chest of the uniform with the Argonaut head logo featured on the right, opposite the royal blue Nike logo.
 
The primary home pants will be white with kelly green and royal blue accented stripes on the sides with the Argonaut head logo featured on the left hip. The primary away pants will be grey with kelly green and royal blue accented stripes on the sides with the Argonaut head logo featured on the left hip.
