NSCAA RANKINGS
September 15, 2015 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of West Florida men's soccer team entered the National Soccer Coaches Association of America rankings on Tuesday coming in at 25
th following its 4-3 win at Rollins last week. Heading into the third week of play, West Florida is undefeated with a 3-0 record after with wins over Southern Nazarene and Tampa, in addition to its win against Rollins.
West Florida is one of two Gulf South Conference members ranked in the NSCAA DII poll, with Christian Brothers being the other at No. 13.
UWF will play host to GSC foe Spring Hill College Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. Spring Hill has gotten off to a 1-2 start on the season, with its most recent matchup being a 2-0 defeat against Montevallo. Senior Andrew McInnis is currently leading the Badgers offensively, scoring two goals thus far in the season.
West Florida is led by Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week
Stephen Enderlin (Little Rock, Ark./Catholic High School for Boys) who has three goals on the season. Junior
Marteinn Urbancic (Reykjavik, Iceland/Commercial College of Iceland) currently leads the team in assists with two, while senior
Felipe Oliveira (Kissimmee, Fla./Gateway HS), sophomore Tristian Rehrig (Oviedo, Fla./Oviedo HS), freshman
Kameron Bethell (Navarre, Fla./Navarre HS), junior
Johnathan Quintero (Port Saint Lucie, Fla./Eastern Florida State College), and senior
Soren Yuhaschek (Orlando, Fla./Freedom HS) are the other goal scorers for the Argonauts thus far in the early stages of the 2015 season.
West Florida looks to remain unbeaten against Spring Hill, as the men's soccer program currently holds an all-time record of 23-0-1 against the Badgers. UWF defeated Spring Hill in its last matchup, besting the Badgers 4-3 on October 31
st, 2014 at the UWF Soccer Complex.
After the game against Spring Hill, West Florida will travel to the NAIA's University of Mobile on Monday, September 21
st for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
