TAILGATING GUIDELINES / MARITIME PARK INFO

Records: UWF is 5-5 and 3-4 in GSC play following last week's loss to No. 7 UNA. UWG is 6-4 & 3-4, having dropped four of its last six games.

* Rankings: Neither team is ranked; UWG is No. 10 in the NCAA Division 2 Super Region 2 poll.

THE COACHES

UWF coach Pete Shinnick was hired as the first coach in program history on Feb. 6, 2014. He has a 107-51 career record in 14-plus years, which includes a 50-24 mark at UNC Pembroke from 2007-13 and 53-22 at Azusa Pacific from 1999-05. Shinnick was a two-year letterwinner at Colorado, playing on the offensive line in 1985-86. He earned a bachelor's degree in business in 1988 and a master's in guidance and counseling from Clemson in 1992.

West Georgia coach Will Hall is in his third season at the helm of the UWG pro- gram. The Wolves are 30-9 under Hall, including 5-3 in the postseason. He is in his sixth year as a head coach, having gone Hall is 25-10 in three years at West Alabama from 2011-13. He was also the Tigers' offensive coordinator for three years. He played at North Alabama for two years and won the Harlon Hill Trophy as a senior.

COMPARING THE TEAMS

UWF is 5-5 on the year and 3-4 in conference action. The Argos rank sixth in the country in passing offense with 332.1 yards per game and 48th in total offense with 435.5 yards per game. The defense has been able to get into the opponent's backfield with a good amount of success. It ranks seventh in the nation with 3.8 sacks per game and 22nd with 8.5 tackles for loss per game.

UWG is 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the GSC, tied for sixth with UWF and Delta State. Dylan Donahue leads the GSC and is sixth in the NCAA in sacks. The Wolves have spent much of the season in the top 25 but have fallen out after dropping three-consecutive games in October. The senior class is tied for the most wins at UWG over a four year span (36), and a win today would secure that historical spot, as the class would become the winningest in school history.
