MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The UWF women's basketball team used a 13-4 run in the second half to pull away from Auburn-Montgomery for a 66-52 win at the AUM Gymnasium Sunday.

UWF (5-0) had four players in double figures for the fifth-consecutive game, led by
Toni Brewer's 14 points and 10 rebounds. That junior's has recorded a double-double in each game this season.

Courtney Meyer had 13 points, nine boards and a pair of blocks, while
Imani Mulmore and
Alex Coyne scored 12 and 11 respectively. Coyne also handed out eight assists, posting her third-straight game of at least seven helpers.

The Argonauts shot 42 percent and held a 14-0 edge in points off turnovers. They also controlled the glass with a 44-37 margin, along with 13 offensive rebounds that led to a 12-2 edge in second-chance points.

After trailing 3-2, UWF went on a 7-0 run to take the lead for good. The Argos led 20-15 at the end of the first quarter and 32-24 at halftime.

The Argos took control early in the fourth quarter, opening the frame on a 6-2 run. A 7-0 stretch capped the aforementioned 13-4 run.

AUM (1-5) got 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench from Grace Farnsworth.

UWF will play its next two games at home, beginning Saturday against St. Mary's (Texas). Tip-off at the UWF Field House is set for 2 p.m. The Argos will then take time off for finals before opening Gulf South Conference play on Monday, Dec. 12 against Valdosta State.
