Game NotesUWF Notes (pdf) | Lee Notes (pdf)

* This is the 36th season of West Florida women's basketball. UWF has an all-time record of 500-462 (.518) in 962 games. UWF is 181-146 (.554) in 22 seasons of Gulf South Conference play. The Argonauts have made four NCAA Tournament appearances, including each of the last two seasons. UWF won its first-ever GSC Championship two years ago.

ABOUT UWF
* Fourth-year head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton has four starters and eight letterwinners back from last year's 20-win squad that finished second in the GSC regular season.
* UWF ranks third in the GSC in scoring offense (65.3 ppg) and seventh in scoring defense (62.2).
* Katie Bobos (12.8 ppg) and Toni Brewer (12.6 ppg) rank in the top 12 in the GSC in scoring. Union is the only other team with two of the league's top 12 scorers.
* Brewer and Courtney Meyer lead the squad on the glass with 8.1 rpg, followed by Bobos at 7.7 rpg and Kelly Preston at 6.6. UWF is the only team in the GSC with three - not to mention four - of the top 10 rebounders in the conference. The Argos are second in the GSC in rebounds (40.2 rpg) and third in rebound margin (6.5).
* UWF leads in the GSC with 4.0 blocks per game, while Alex Coyne leads the conference and ranks tied for fourth in Division II with 6.7 apg.
* The UWF defense has been a key to the team's success, as the Argos have gone 14-0 when holding opponents to 60 points or fewer, including six times during their 7-game win streak.

ABOUT LEE
* The Lee offense has stood near the top of the conference all year, as the Lady Flames have averaged 71.0 points per game, which ranks second in the GSC.
* Erin Walsh leads Lee and ranks third in the GSC with 17.4 points per game on the season. Much of Walsh's damage has come from beyond the arc, as the sophomore is second in the conference in 3-point field goals made and fifth in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage.
* Lee comes in as the top rebounding squad in the GSC, averaging a conference-best 41.6 boards per game, 13.5 offensive rpg and the top rebounding margin in the GSC (8.8).
* Christina Johnson (9.7, 3rd) and Carrie Cheeks (6.6, t-9th) rank in the top 10 in the GSC in rebounding, making Lee the only team other than UWF with two of the top 10 rebounders in the league.
* Cheeks ranks third in the GSC in blocks per game (1.3), while freshman Haris Price ranks fifth in assists per game and fifth in steals per game.

SERIES HISTORY VS. LEE
* UWF trails Lee 2-4 in the series history since the Lady Flames joined the GSC in 2013. The Argonauts are 2-1 all-time against Lee in the Field House.
* LAST MEETING: A season-best four Argos picked up double-doubles in a double-overtime home win against Lee on January 28. All-Gulf South Conference guard Alex Coyne led the way with game highs in points (20) and assists (12), while her fellow All-GSC performer Katie Bobos went for 19 points and 12 boards. Toni Brewer scored 17 and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Courtney Meyer scored 13 points and picked up 12 rebounds. Coyne also recorded a career-best eight steals in the game, with the last leading to two Toni Brewer points and giving UWF the lead in the second overtime period. Once Brewer scored, Lee did not lead or tie for the remainder of the game.

UWF WITH THREE WINS OVER RANKED TEAMS
* UWF has collected three wins over ranked teams this season, with a sweep of Delta State and a road victory at Union in early January.
* In head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton's four seasons, the Argonauts are 5-4 when playing a ranked team.
