ABOUT UWF
*Fourth-year head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton has four starters and eight letterwinners back from last year's 20-win squad that finished second in the GSC regular season.
*UWF stands at third in the GSC in scoring average and in the middle of the conference in scoring defense on the year. The Argonauts have averaged 66.1 points per game and have allowed 62.8 points per game, which ranks seventh in the conference.
*Katie Bobos, Toni Brewer and Alex Coyne rank in the top 15 in the GSC in scoring, and UWF is the only team in the league with three of the conference's top 15 scorers.
*Brewer leads the squad on the glass with 8.2 rpg, followed by Bobos with 7.6. Courtney Meyer is just behind Bobos, with 7.4 rebounds per game, and Kelly Preston has averaged 6.5. UWF is the only team in the GSC with three of the top 10 rebounders in the conference.
*UWF leads in the GSC with 4.2 blocks per game, while Alex Coyne leads the conference and ranks third in Division II with 7.1 apg.
IT'S CROWDED AT THE TOP*After opening GSC play with a 1-2 mark, UWF rattled off seven straight victories to find itself in a 5-way tie for first place. The Argos currently sit tied with Shorter for fourth place in the conference with a 10-4 record and hold a tiebreaker over the Lady Hawks. Union holds the conference lead with a 13-2 mark in the league, and Delta State is at 12-3.
ABOUT DELTA STATE*Delta State has posted the best defense in the country this season, as the Lady Statesmen have allowed just 49.1 points per game. They have also held opponents to 35 percent shooting from the field, which leads the GSC.
*Though DSU does not have a highly ranked offense, the team plays primarily through GSC leading scorer Chelsey Rhodes. The senior is averaging 20.2 points per contest this season and is a two-time first team All-GSC selection.
*Rhodes also leads the team and ranks second in the conference with 2.4 steals per game.
*All nine of DSU's players average more than 10 minutes per game, and none average more than 31, with the exception of Rhodes (37.0).
SERIES HISTORY VS DSU*UWF is 8-13 all-time against DSU, and the Argonauts have won the last four, including a GSC Tournament victory in March 2014. The Argos and Lady Statesmen have gone to battle four times in the GSC Tournament, with UWF standing at 1-3 in those games.

LAST TIME OUT: DSU got out to an early 8-4 margin, but UWF closed the quarter on a 14-2 run for an 18-10 lead. The Argos stretched the advantage to 26-12 with an 8-2 run in the first three minutes of the second frame. The UWF margin stayed between three and six points for much of the third quarter and the opening portion of the fourth before another run created some distance between the teams. DSU trimmed the deficit to three late in the fourth, before Coyne fed Bobos for a baseline jumper and a 3-pointer to stretch the cushion back to a comfortable 56-48 score with 1:11 in the game.
DOUBLING UP*West Florida has collected 16 double-doubles this season.
*Meyer has put up double-doubles in each of the last two games, going for 13 points and 12 rebounds against Lee on Thursday and posting a career day against Shorter with 15 points and 18 boards.

Katie Bobos and
Toni Brewer each have a team-high five double-doubles on the year, while Meyer has three,
Alex Coyne has two, and
Kelly Preston has one.
*Bobos, Coyne and Preston combined to put up a team-best three in the win over Mississippi College on Dec. 17. The Argos achieved the same feat on Dec. 5 against North Alabama, when Bobos, Brewer and Meyer each recorded a double-double.
*Meyer came just one block short of a triple-double on against UNA on Dec. 5, as she tied a school record with nine swats against the Lions.
COYNE DROPPIN' DIMES*Junior PG
Alex Coyne has stepped into the lineup this season and had an immediate impact on the team's offense. The Southern Miss transfer ranks third in country with 7.1 assists per game, an average that saw a significant increase after games with 11 and 12 assists over the weekend. She has handed out at least six assists 16 times in 19 games this year.
