PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 6-ranked University of West Florida women's tennis team defeated Arkansas Tech 9-0 at home on Tuesday afternoon. West Florida (11-2, 5-0 GSC) improves to 4-0 on the year in matches played at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
 
Senior Katarina Dikosavljevic (Queensland, Australia) and junior Hannah Toro (London, England) won their third straight match by defeating Macarena Sedano Acosta and Tamara Bell 9-8 at number one doubles.
 
Senior Nina Bubelova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) and junior Paula Lopez (Tucumán, Argentina) improved to 11-1 on the year with an 8-0 win over Camila Roca and Laura Sanchez at number two doubles.
 
Senior Sarai Flores (Mexico City, Mexico) and freshman Heather Mixon (New Iberia, La./Catholic HS) defeated Annabel Rowlands and Teresa Sanchez 8-6 at number three doubles.
 
No. 32 Dikosavljevic defeated Sedano Acosta 6-3, 6-0 at number one singles while Lopez improved to 10-2 on the year by defeating Bell 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 at number two singles.
 
No. 42 Bubelova won her fourth straight match by defeating T. Sanchez 6-3, 6-2 at number three singles. Senior Sarai Flores (Mexico City, Mexico) earned her 40^th career singles victory at UWF by defeating Rowlands 6-2, 6-4 at number four singles.
 
Freshman Dianna Vlad (Oberhausen, Germany) defeated Roca 6-1, 6-0 at number five singles while Mixon improved to 11-0 on the year by defeating Haeleigh Long 6-2, 6-1 at number six singles.
 
West Florida will next face No. 21 Georgia College on Wednesday, March 23 at 3 p.m. CT before hosting Gulf South Conference rival No. 15 Valdosta State on Friday, March 25 at Noon. UWF will then play host to No. 29 Concordia (N.Y.) on Saturday, March 26 at 9 a.m. CT.
