BOX SCORE PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 6-ranked University of West Florida women's tennis team swept Delta State 6-0 at home on Sunday morning. West Florida (18-3, 10-0 GSC) extends its GSC winning streak to 65 and improves to 12-2 in matches against south region opponents.

Dianna Vlad (Oberhausen, Germany) improved to 7-1 on the year with an 8-2 win over Nathalia Sato and Alex Howe at number one doubles.

Valeria Mantilla (Bogotá, Colombia) defeated Celina Stracke and Sara Alvarez-Rubio 8-1 at number two doubles while sophomore
Erica Lilja Eriksson (Kristinehamn, Sweden) and freshman
Heather Mixon (New Iberia, La./Catholic HS) defeated Charlotte Le Flohic and Ione' Deroode 8-1 at number three doubles.

Nina Bubelova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) improved to 11-4 on the year by defeating Le Flohic 6-0, 6-4 at number one singles while Vlad improve to 11-5 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sato at number two singles.
Mixon improved to 17-1 on the year and 9-0 in the GSC with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Alvarez-Rubio at number four singles.
West Florida will next play host to No. 4 Armstrong Atlantic on Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. UWF will then host No. 9 Hawaii Pacific on Saturday, April 9 at 9 a.m. before hosting Georgia Gwinnett at 3 p.m. later that day.
