The Argonauts fell to No. 9 Hawai'I Pacific in a 9 a.m. match before taking down NAIA No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett under the lights.

UWF (19-5) fell to HPU, 5-2, and defeated GWC, 5-4, in a very intense match.

Against the Sharks, UWF secured a point in doubles when
Valeria Mantilla and Serai Flores won at No. 3 with a 9-8 win. All four completed singles matches were in straight sets with
Heather Mixon claiming the lone Argonaut victory at the No. 6 spot with a 6-2, 6-4 decision.

In the nightcap, UWF fell behind 2-1 after doubles, with Kat Dikosavljevic and
Dianna Vlad collecting the lone point. The Argos then fought back as Dikosavljevic,
Nina Bubelova and Mixon earned wins for a 4-3 lead.

The Grizzlies tied the match at No. 4 singles before the Argos clinched on the play of
Dianna Vlad at No. 5 with a 6-4, 7-6 win.

UWF will be off for a few days before opening the Gulf South Conference Championship on Thursday afternoon. The Argos are the NO. 1 seed after going 10-0 in league play and will face No. 8 seed Lee at 1:30 p.m. in Montgomery, Ala. Tournament play will be at both the O'Connor Tennis Center and Lagoon Park.
