PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida will play just one game this weekend, as it plays host to the Saint Leo Lions for a 12:30 p.m. tilt at the UWF Soccer Complex on Saturday. Both teams enter the contest with a 2-4 record on the year.
 
OT IN MISSISSIPPI: UWF had a roller-coaster weekend in Mississippi last week, having dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to Mississippi College before topping Delta State in overtime 1-0 two days later… Gavin Gillies netted the game-winning goal in the 93^rd minute against Delta State.
 
FRESHMEN FOCUS: UWF has 13 freshmen on the 2016 roster, and of the 6097 minutes available for playing time, those freshmen have accounted for 32% of that playing time.
 
AROUND THE LEAGUE: UWF currently stands second in the GSC with a 2-1 conference record… UWF's only conference loss is against Mississippi College, who sits atop the GSC with a perfect 3-0 league record… Marteinn Urbancic is fourth in the conference with a two points per game average in GSC play… Chandler Castleman is second in the conference with 3.33 shots per game in conference action… Urbancic's two conference goals is the second most in the GSC… Phil D'Amico's 1.29 goal against average in GSC play is the best average in the conference.
 
SCOUTING SAINT LEO: Saint Leo is 2-4 on the year, which includes a 1-4 Sunshine State Conference record… Marcelo Casas leads the team with three goals, and he was recently named SSC Men's Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a game-winning goal against No. 11 Barry… UWF and Saint Leo have one common opponent in Rollins in 2016, and the Tars bested the Lions 3-0 in Saint Leo's last contest… Both of Saint Leo's wins have been against nationally ranked opponents, as SLU won its first game of the season against a No. 9-ranked Young Harris club… UWF is 10-6-1 all-time against Saint Leo and most recently tied on Sept. 21, 2014.
