STATS/VIDEO

PENSACOLA, Fla. – With a 1-1 record after opening the season with a 4-0 win over No. 15 Tampa last Friday, the University of West Florida women's soccer team will begin its home slate with games against No. 16 Rollins and Florida Southern this weekend.

The team's home-opener against Rollins is at 5 p.m. on Friday at the UWF Soccer Complex, while the Sunday afternoon contest against Florida Southern is slated for 12:30 p.m. Both games will feature live stats and video broadcasts, and links for those can be found at GoArgos.com.

Going for 250
*UWF women's soccer head coach Joe Bartlinski has totaled 249 career wins as the head man for the Argos, following the 4-0 win against Tampa on Friday. That total gives him the most in GSC history, pacing the field by 149 victories.
*Bartlinski is the winningest active coach in DII women's soccer, with a career .840 winning percentage, which ranks second in DII history.
*He ranks 16th all-time in total victories in DII, and 11th among active coaches.
*Bartlinski's teams and student-athletes make up a great deal of the NCAA record book, with 8 first-team All-Americans during his tenure and teams ranking in the NCAA DII top 10 all-time in goals against average, shutouts, goals and consecutive wins.
*Bartlinski has earned GSC Coach of the Year honors five times in his career and has twice been named the NSCAA National Coach of the Year. In 2009, he was named the coach for the GSC Women's Soccer All-Time Team, as announced by the conference.
*2015 marked the 12th time in Bartlinski's 15 seasons as the head of the UWF women's soccer program that the Argonauts won at least 15 games in a season.

Boilesen Named GSC FOTW
*After her first week of collegiate soccer, Marjorie Boilesen was named the Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week.
*Her two-goal game on Friday was the first multi-goal game for a UWF freshman since Sara Helgadottir netted a hat trick in 2013.
*She currently leads UWF with five points, two goals and four shots on goal.
*Boilesen became the first UWF women's soccer player to be named the conference freshman of the week since the award was created in 2014.

No Place Like Home
*The home schedule opens up this weekend for West Florida, and the friendly confines of the UWF Soccer Complex have been a great spot for the Argos since 2001, as the team has put together a 123-13-4 record at home.

Scouting Rollins
*The Tars bring in a 2-0 record, with wins against Georgian Court and Queens (NC) over last weekend.
*The team's leading scorer so far is Kathryn O'Brien, who has tallied multi-goal games in both of the Tars' games this year. She opened the season with a hat trick against Georgian Court and netted two goals against Queens the next day. Her five goals on the year are just one off her season total from 2015.
*Including O'Brien, Rollins returns four All-South Region performers in Emma Bloom, Megan Block and Paxton Sickler, who was also an All-American as a sophomore in 2014.
*UWF took a 5-1 win at Rollins last year when the Tars were fresh off an appearance in the NCAA National Final and holding a No. 1 national ranking. Kaley Ward scored three times on the Tars, and the Argos outshot RC 20-4.
*West Florida leads the all-time series against Rollins 13-2-2.

Scouting Florida Southern
*The Mocs have not started their season yet, as two home games scheduled against Flagler and Armstrong State were cancelled due to rain over the weekend.
*FSC is coming off a 3-10-1 2015 campaign, but the team returns its top two point-scorers and its keeper from last season.
*Anna Griessler scored five goals and added an assist as a freshman last year, leading the team in goals and points. FSC's next-highest points leader in 2015 was midfielder Sheila Ramos, who tallied nine points on three goals and three assists last year and returns for her senior season.

Pacing the Conference
*Bartlinski-led teams have posted seven of the 11 highest single-season win totals in GSC history.
*In UWF's 20 years in the Gulf South Conference, the Argonauts have posted a record of 134-14-3 and have outscored their opposition 497-80.
