PENSACOLA, Fla. – A trio of UWF players went for double-doubles and the Argonauts used a dominating fourth quarter to defeat North Alabama, 73-60 at the UWF Field House Monday.

Katie Bobos had a game-high 19 points on a season-high 53 percent shooting night to go along with 10 rebounds and three blocks for her second-consecutive double-double, while Toni Brewer contributed 16 points and 13 boards for her tenth double-double of the year.

Courtney Meyer added 14 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks, and Alex Coyne posted 13 points and nine boards along with six assists to put four players in double figures for the tenth time in 11 games.

UWF (9-2, 4-1 Gulf South) shot 44 percent in the game but again got a suffocating effort on defense and on the glass to pull away down the stretch. The Argonauts grabbed twice as many caroms as the Lions, ending with a 58-29 margin.

UNA (9-2, 3-2) lost its second-straight game while shooting a season-low 31 percent overall and 21 percent from outside. Monday marked the seventh time and third-consecutive game the Argos have held an opponent to 22 percent or less from outside.

The opening period resembled a track meet as UNA raced out to a 25-22 lead. The second quarter had three lead changes with the Argos closing the half with two Bobos free throws and a Meyer jumper to take a 43-40 lead into the locker room.

UWF scored the first seven points of the third quarter, grabbing a 50-40 advantage just past the midway point of the frame, before UNA scored the final seven points to close to within 50-47 before the horn. UWF used a 9-3 run to start the fourth and put the game out of reach. The Lions got with six points before UWF eventually closed the game on a 9-2 stretch.

UWF will hit the road this week, traveling to Shorter and Lee. Saturday's game at Shorter tips off at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, while Monday's contest at Lee will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET.
