JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Fresh off winning its second consecutive South Region Title on Friday, the University of West Florida women's soccer team will see a familiar face in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal in No. 2 Carson-Newman. UWF is 3-1 all-time against CNU, winning the last matchup with the Eagles in the 2009 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal.

The game will feature a live broadcast from CNU and fans can also follow along with live stats. Kickoff is slated for 2 pm ET at McCown Field at Harvey Stadium in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

THAT'S TWO IN A ROW
* Friday's match marked West Florida's second consecutive South Region Title, the team's fourth in the last six years, and its seventh overall.
* It was a tale of two halves against Lee, with the Lady Flames owning the first half before the Argonauts amped up the intensity and outshot Lee 13-5 in the final 45 minutes of regulation on the way to a draw. Katelyn Burkhart proved to be the hero, making back-to-back diving saves in the final 10 seconds of the first overtime period to preserve the tie.
* Shantell Thompson was provided the opportunity to even things up in the 85th minute, and she did so with a penalty kick that flew past Lee's Haley Gribler. Grace Busby found the net for the game-winning PK, giving UWF a 3-1 advantage.

AS THE UNDERDOG
* Just like every other NCAA Tournament game West Florida has played in the past two seasons, the Argonauts will enter Sunday's contest as the lower seed. UWF does not seem to mind being the lower-ranked seed in the NCAA Tournament, coming in as the No. 5 seed this year while last year's South Region champs were the 6-seed.
* West Florida is 6-1 in the last two years, and the Argos have been the lower seed in each of those matches.
* Of the eight teams remaining in the NCAA Tournament, five are 1-seeds, two are 2-seeds, and UWF is a 5-seed.

WE'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE
* UWF has reached the NCAA Quarterfinal a GSC-record six times before, holding a 4-2 record and have matched opponents with a combined 6-6 score.
* The last five of those NCAA Quarterfinal contests have been one-goal matches.

VS. CARSON-NEWMAN
* The Eagles from Carson-Newman have been as good as any team in the country, ranking No. 2 in the latest USC national poll and earning the top seed in the Southeast Region. CNU is 19-0-1 on the year with a draw against conference foe Lenoir-Rhyne coming as the only non-win.
* Carson-Newman had the most impressive Regional Final win in DII on Friday, shutting out the top offense in the country -- Columbus State -- 6-0 at McCown Field.
* CNU ranks in the top five in Division II in goals, points, assists and goals per game this season, and the team also ranks 12th in goals against average and eighth in shutout percentage.
* UWF has played Carson-Newman before, and the last two of four total matchups have come in the NCAA Quarterfinal. UWF is 3-1 all-time against the Eagles, winning 2-1 the last time out, in 2009.
