PENSACOLA, Fla. – The sixth-ranked UWF women's tennis team won three conference matches Saturday to complete an undefeated Gulf South Conference schedule and secure its seventh-consecutive GSC regular-season championship.
UWF (19-5, 10-0) opened the day with a 9-0 win over West Georgia before a 6-0 victory over Delta State and a 9-0 shutout over Christian Brothers. With the victories, the Argonauts will enter the GSC Championship – set for April 20-22 in Montgomery, Ala. – as the No. 1 seed.

Lais Bicca each went 3-0 in singles play, while sophomore
Isabella Calves was 3-0 in doubles play, partnering with both Echevarria and Bicca.
The Argonauts have now won 11-consecutive matches and are 14-1 both at home and against South Region opponents. UWF has also won its last 78 contests against GSC opponents.
UWF will be off next week before closing the regular-season with a pair of non-conference matches, hosting Columbus State on Thursday, April 13 and Xavier of Louisiana on Saturday, April 15.
