ABOUT UWF
* UWF is 8-4 on the year and has won six of its last eight games. The Argonauts are tied for fifth in the GSC at 3-2.
* UWF ranks third in the GSC in scoring offense at 73.2 ppg, but ninth in scoring defense at 63.9 ppg. The Argonauts are shooting 40.8 percent from the floor. They ranks second in the league in 3-point FG pct., making 35.0 pct and are averaging 5.6 3-pointers per game.
* As has been the case in the last two seasons, the UWF defense has served the squad well, leading the GSC in field goal percentage defense (.339) and ranking second in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.238). Those number are 14th and 25th, respectively in the NCAA. The Argos lead the league in total rebounds at 48.5 per game and defensive rebounding at 34.2 per game (1st in the NCAA).
* Junior transfer Halee Nieman leads a trio of players who average in double figures. Nieman has posted 16.2 points to rank fourth in the GSC.
* Senior Shami Goodman has posted 12.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest. Since moving into the starting lineup four games ago, she has averaged 17.8 points per game.
* Junior Belle Bistrow is scoring 10.3 points per contest and leads the team with 20 3-pointers on the season. She has made a combined 9-of-12 from outside over the last two games against West Alabama and Montevallo, while scoring a career-high 17 in each contest.
* Senior Courtney Meyer has also been solid and is averaging a near double-double with 9.3 points and 11.6 rebounds to go along with 2.7 blocks per game. She has six double-double to lead the team and is second in the GSC behind Ivy Wallen's seven.

NIEMAN SETS UWF SCORING RECORD, NAMED GSC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
* The junior from Midland, Michigan averaged 26 points and 15 rebounds in a split against West Alabama and Montevallo before the NCAA Division II Life in Balance break.
* She scored a career-high and school-record 42 points in the win over Montevallo on Monday, which included 30 points on 10-of-13 shooting after halftime. That scoring total is tied for the most in Division II this season and tied for the 13th highest in GSC history. She also had a career-high 20 rebounds against the Falcons, which are the most in the league this year. She had opened the weekend with 10 points and 10 boards Saturday against UWA.
* Nieman is now averaging 16.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game with two double-doubles. She ranks third in the GSC in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Nieman, who is in her first season at UWF after transferring from Saginaw Valley State, has 739 points and 365 rebounds in 68 career games.

YELTON NEARING 100 WINS AT UWF
* UWF head coach Stephanie Lawrence Yelton is approaching a milestone in her UWF coaching career. Now in her sixth season at UWF, she enters the week with 98 victories. She would be the third coach in program history to reach the century mark, joining Shannan Bergen (183 victories) and Kathy Davis (175).
* She is 98-62 at UWF and currently has a 155-146 head coaching record.

SCOUTING MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE
* Mississippi College is 5-8 on the season and 1-6 in GSC play. The Lady Choctaws have lost two-straight and four of their last five..
* Four starters average 9.8 points or more, led by senior forward Kelley Allen with 13.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY
* UWF leads the series 5-3 and is 3-1 in games played at the UWF Field House. The Argonauts have also won the last five games in the series.
