PENSACOLA, Fla. – UWF men's soccer will wrap the regular season with a trip to Mississippi College Oct. 25 and Delta State Oct. 27. The Argos have clinched a first-round bye in the GSC Tournament. Postseason play for the Argos will begin with the GSC Tournament semifinals at Auburn Montgomery Nov. 2.
UWF (9-3-2, 7-1-1 GSC) will begin the road swing in Clinton vs. the Choctaws (6-5-1, 4-4-1 GSC) Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The team will continue the trip Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Cleveland vs. the Statesmen (3-10-2, 1-7-1 GSC).
ARGOS SUFFER FIRST GSC LOSS

Sean Hoffstatter netted his third hat trick of the year, but UWF men's soccer fell for the first time since Sep. 7 Saturday in Mobile. The Argos overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit before ultimately falling in overtime 5-4 to conference leader Spring Hill.
* Despite the loss, the Argos are still guaranteed one of the top two seeds in the six-team Gulf South Tournament field. The team will also post its best conference record since 2013 (11-2-1). This season marks the third time since 1996 that the program has won at least seven conference games.
GSC LEADERS

Sean Hoffstatter currently leads the Gulf South Conference with 16 goals (1.23 per game). He is also the GSC leader in points (37) and points per game (2.85). He is tied for third in the conference with five assists. He is also tied for the second most game-winning goals (3) in the conference. He is also tied for second in the GSC with 2.75 shots per game.
* Hoffstatter is currently tied for fifth in the NCAA in goals and is tied for sixth in points per game. He is eighth nationally in total points.

Ed Chappe is fifth in the conference with 21 points. He is tied for fifth with eight total goals and tied for fifth with five assists.

Rafael Godoi is tied for sixth in the GSC with 2.77 shots per game. He, Chappe, Hoffstatter and
Barrett Mills are tied for third in the conference with five assists.
* As a team, UWF paces the GSC in goals per game (3.29), shots (253), shots on goal (133) and scoring margin average (2.08). The Argos are second in points (124). The team is second in the conference in assists per game (2.29) and GAA (1.21). The seven goals the team scored vs. Pensacola Christian Sept. 21 are tied for the most scored in a single game by a GSC team this year.
* The Argo offense in fifth in the NCAA in goals per game and 19th in assists per game. The team is ninth in the country in points per game and 10th in the country in total points .
SCOUTING MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE
* Mississippi College currently sits in seventh in the Gulf South at 6-5-1 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play. The Choctaws sit just outside the six-team playoff picture.
* The Choctaws have won just once in their last five matches. The team is coming off a 2-0 loss vs. Montevallo and a scoreless draw vs. Auburn Montgomery last weekend.
* Wanner Paiz currently leads the conference with 3.18 shots per game. Connor Johnson is tied for seventh with six goals. Paiz and Joshua Robinson are tied for seventh in the GSC with a pair of game-winners each.
* The Choctaws rank third in the conference with 2.33 goals per game. They are also third with 17.7 shots per game. The team is fourth with 1.50 assists per match.
* The Argos are just 1-4 vs. the Choctaws since 2014 and are winless in Clinton during that stretch.
SCOUTING DELTA STATE
* The Statesmen are 11th in the GSC with a 3-10-2 overall record and a 1-7-1 conference mark.
* Delta State is coming off a 6-1 home win over Southern Nazarene University Oct. 23. The team has won twice in its last four matches.
* The Statesmen are fifth in the GSC with 12.53 shots per game. They are also fifth with 4.13 points per game. The Delta State defense has struggled this season, allowing the second-most goals per game (2.80) in the GSC. Statesmen keepers are fourth in the conference with 4.73 saves per match.
* Bruno Osorio is tied for seventh with six goals. Myron Duffy is 10th in the GSC with four assists. Matthew Klinck is fourth in the conference with 4.36 saves per game.
* The Argos are 12-3 vs. Delta State since 2005. UWF is 6-1 in Cleveland in the same span.
