Mariah Constantakos Wins 3-Meter Event at UWF Dive Invite

The senior took top-two finishes in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events

MOULTRIE, Ga. – A day after splitting the 1-meter event against Birmingham Southern and Georgia Southern at the UWF Dive Invite, the University of West Florida diving team wrapped up the meet with a 16-2 win over BSC and a 9-9 tie with Georgia Southern.
 
Cantonment, Florida, native Mariah Constantakos won the 3-meter event on Sunday with a 253.05, besting Georgia Southern's Sara Rogers by 18 points. Carson Bronnenberg, a junior from nearby Panama City, finished third in the 3-meter with a 229.20 – just six points off Rogers' second-place score.
 
On Saturday, Constantakos finished second in the 1-meter and Bronnenberg finished fourth, giving each divers wins over Division I competitors in each event to start the season.
 
The swimmers are back in action next weekend at the Shark Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, while the divers will visit Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for a meet against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
