PENSACOLA, Fla.– The UWF women's basketball team overcame a sluggish start to dispatch of Auburn-Montgomery, 73-44, at the UWF Field House and collect its fifth-consecutive win on Monday night.
UWF used an 11-0 run in the second quarter to grab a 29-25 lead before stretching it to a 36-29 margin into halftime and led by 59-37 after three quarters.
It marked the fifth-consecutive win for UWF (15-4, 9-3 Gulf South), who also improved to 8-1 at home this season. The Argonauts committed a season-low six turnovers and outrebounded the Warhawks 47-27 while allowing just two offensive rebounds.

Toni Brewer recorded her 14th double-double of the year with 18 points and 16 rebounds. She moved past Erin Vierling into second place on the UWF career-scoring list with 1,479 points. The Huntsville, Ala. native led four players in double figures with her game-high scoring performance.

Belle Bistrow was 5-of-9 from outside to finish with 17 points as she ran her career total to 138 from outside, tying for second on the UWF career chart. She has made 13 triples over the last three games on 52 percent shooting.

Anna Hall handed out eight assists with zero turnovers while scoring seven points and pulling down eight boards. She now sits in sixth place on the Argos' single-season list with 139 helpers.
AUM (2-17, 1-10) shot just 35 percent in dropping its third-straight game. Jordan Brewster led the Warhawks with 10 points – six under her team-leading average. It was also her third-lowest output of the year.
UWF will play host to West Alabama (8-11, 5-7) on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. on 90s Night The Argos defeated the Tigers, 76-56, in Livingston, Ala. this past Thursday.
