Pensacola, Fla.- Coming off a hot start to the season and standing at 8-1-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Gulf South Conference, the 15th ranked UWF Men's Soccer team travels west to Alabama to take on Alabama Huntsville and West Alabama on Friday and Sunday.

So far this season the Argonauts have used a balanced attack on offense with 11 different players scoring at least one goal.  Redshirt senior forward Sean Hoffstatter leads all Argos with four goals scored while juniors Teavon Spencer and Ed Chappe have three goals apiece. On the defensive side, newcomer Lucas Barankiewicz has amassed 922 minutes in 10 starts while sophomore goalkeeper Jihad Gomes 26 saves and a goal against average of .071 in ten starts.

About UAH: The Chargers (4-5-1, 2-1-1) are lead by Head Coach John Carrier who is in second season at the helm.  Junior forward Rafa Moreno paces the offense with five goals and 11 points on 36 shots while Alabama Huntsville have used multiple goalkeepers in Simon Voss and Drew Kelly.  Voss, a freshman from Germany, has been used more frequently with 12 saves and a GAA of 1.13 in 560 minutes.  West Florida has owned the all-time matchup between the two schools with a record of 11-5-3.

About UWA: The Tigers (3-5-1, 1-2-1) are lead by Head Coach Ross Nelson who is in his first season at West Alabama, they have faced a tough schedule with contests against two nationally ranked teams in Lander and Clayton State earlier in the season.  Graduate senior midfielder Adam Zayed does the heavy lifting on offense with his three goals and six points while Cosmas Uzoaru minds the net for West Alabama with 26 saves in six starts and holds a record of 3-3.  The Argos look to continue their overall sucess against the Tigers as they currently hold a 7-3-2 advantage all-time.
