PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida dominated in all phases of Friday's match against Valdosta State shutting out the Blazers by a final score of 5-0 to improve to 9-4 overall. The Argonauts remain undefeated at home this season with a perfect 6-0 record at the UWF Soccer Complex. This victory was the ninth shutout of the season for the Argos.
 
FIRST HALF: Senior Kaila Armstrong gave the Argos the early lead with a goal in the 6^th minute off an assist from Peyton Peffers. Anita Danielsdottir picked up her seventh goal of the season in the 22^nd minute. Eni Nadia Kuchambi Tengwan earned an assist on the play. Annie Rolf increased the Argos' lead to three in the 30^th minute after firing a strike from outside the box into the back of the net. Danielsdottir and Peffers received assists on the play.

SECOND HALF: Kuchambi extended the UWF lead to four in the 55^th minute off an assist from Kendall Bobbitt. Lee Ducharme scored her second goal of the year in the 69^th minute to end the scoring parade for the Argos.

OVERALL STATS: UWF outshot Valdosta State 17-5. West Florida had five corner kicks in today's match, and held the Blazers to only two.
 
NEXT UP: The Argonauts will be back in action on Sunday at the UWF Soccer Complex to take on West Georgia at 12:30 pm CT. On Sunday, UWF will be hosting a Bark in the Park promotion. Fans will be able to bring their dogs to the UWF Soccer Complex to enjoy a game and root on the Argos with their furry friends!

The West Georgia Wolves are (5-7-1) overall and defeated Spring Hill 5-0 on Friday afternoon. UWF is a perfect (18-0) all-time against West Georgia, and are 7-0 when facing the Wolves at the UWF Soccer Complex.
