Pensacola, Fla.-The University of West Florida Men's Soccer team, coming off a nine day lay-off with its last match coming in a 0-0 draw October 20th against West Alabama, return to action against the Pensacola Christian Eagles on Monday night at 6pm at the UWF Soccer Complex.

The Argonauts (9-2-1, 5-2-1 in the GSC) are returning to action at home for the first time since October 6th when they suffered their only loss of the season against conference foe, Auburn Montgomery, 0-1.

This season UWF is lead by its upperclassmen with redshirt senior forward Sean Hoffstatter leading the way with five goals, followed by juniors Teavon Spencer and Ed Chappe who have four and three goals apiece. Hoffstatter, a native of Fort Walton, also holds the team lead with with 11 points on 34 shots.  On the back end, sophomore Jihad Gomes has been steady between the pipes all season long, starting all 12 games while recording 36 saves, posting six shutouts and only allowing seven shutouts in 1,093 minutes.

About PCC: The Eagles come into the match at 10-7 with a 5-5 record on the road.  Joseph Liowsz is in third season with Pensacola Christian, having previously won the NCCAA DII South Region Coach of the year as well as the National Coach of the year that same season.  Jake McClelland has been a force all year long with 16 goals and 40 points while senior defender Nick Standridge has also stood out with 11 goals and 32 points.
