UWF Opens Road Trip At Spring Hill Tuesday

The Argonauts will face the Badgers and then head to Union and Christian Brothers this weekend

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team will return to action on Tuesday night with a contest at regional foe Spring Hill. The teams will tip-off at SHC's Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center at 5:30 p.m.

The Argonauts are 2-1 on the season after Friday's 68-45 home win over Pensacola Christian. Danielle Norquest posted her second career double-double in the last three games with 19 points and 15 rebounds. 11 of her points came as part of her nine offensive boards. The junior from Diamond, Ohio is currently averaging 15.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game.

Sophomore Charlotte Ellmore has been a nice addition early on, posting 10.0 points per contest with team-highs of 5.0 assists and 34 minutes per game.

UWF is shooting 37 percent overall and has a plus-18 rebound margin. The Argos are getting to the free throw line and average of 28 times per game and making 68 percent.

Spring Hill (0-5) is coming off a 63-61 loss to Mobile over the weekend. They have also dropped South Region contests to Tampa, Florida Tech, Embry-Riddle and Alabama Huntsville. The Badgers are led in scoring by senior Elise Reilly's 15.8 ppg. Senior Tiffany Valentine (13.0) and junior Katie Krout (12.0) are also putting up double-figure averages on offense. Valentine leads the team on the glass with 7.0 rpg.
