PENSACOLA, Fla.– Belle Bistrow made seven 3-point field goals and Toni Brewer shot 50 percent to lead UWF past Delta State, 77-55, at the UWF Field House on Thursday night.
 
Both Bistrow and Brewer had career-highs with 27 points apiece as UWF (20-4, 14-3 Gulf South) extended its winning streak to a school-record 10 games. The win also gave the program it's seventh 20-win season and third in the last five years.
 
The Argos shot 46 percent and made eight 3-pointers, including their first five and 7-of-10 in the opening half.
 
Bistrow's seven triples were one shy of tying the Argonauts' single-game record and brought her career total to 155 – nine away from breaking the school's career mark.
 
Brewer meanwhile, tied her career-high set in her sophomore season as she shot 11-for-22 in the game and registered her 17th double-double with 11 rebounds. The senior also made history with the win marking the 85th of her career, moving her into first place in wins at UWF.
 
The Argos got out to a 21-12 lead late in the first quarter and never looked back, holding a 27-18 advantage after the opening frame and 46-35 at the half. UWF stretched the lead to 69-42 in the third and led by 31 midway through the fourth.
 
Delta State (15-9, 10-7) shot 38 percent and was led by Nia Johnson's 18 points.

UWF also earned a home game for the first round of the GSC Tournament, to be played on Tuesday, March 5.
 
UWF will play host to Mississippi College (6-16, 2-14) on Saturday at 2 p.m. The game will be the annual Play 4 Kay game as sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and support breast cancer research.
