PENSACOLA, Fla. – UWF men's basketball will look to make it five wins in its last seven games at Auburn Montgomery Monday. Tip vs. the Warhawks is slated for 8:00 p.m.
"I like our camaraderie right now. Our togetherness is good. I think guys our playing for each other, and that's good going down the stretch," said Burkhamer.
The Argos have been playing some of their best basketball of the season. The team has won four of its last six games. The only two losses in that span have come against GSC leader West Alabama. The most recent was a back-and-forth, tight battle in the UWF Field House that saw the Argos fall 77-75 to the Tigers Thursday.
The Monday contest at AUM will kick off a three-game road swing for UWF. The Argos return home Feb. 14 to begin a three-game homestand vs. Delta State.
HENDERSON NETS CAREER-BEST 28 POINTS VS. UWA

Jarrett Henderson had a career night with 28 points, but UWF men's basketball fell just short vs. GSC leader West Alabama Thursday night in the UWF Field House. The Argos took their second contest in a week vs. the Tigers down to the wire before falling 77-75.
* "I thought it was one of the best games I've been involved with since I've been here," said UWF head coach
Jeff Burkhamer. "I thought it was just a really good basketball game. I thought both teams played well, both teams played hard. It was a hard-fought game for forty minutes. That's what a GSC game is supposed to be."
* Henderson added seven rebounds, two assists and one steal to his 28 points.
Jon Brown scored 11 of his 18 points in the second half. He also posted a pair of steals, three rebounds and one assist.

Jon Brown are currently tied for 14th with 12.9 points per game.
* Henderson is eighth in the GSC with 6.9 rebounds per game.
* Benson is seventh in the GSC with a free throw percentage of .792. Brown is eighth with a .780 mark from the line.
* Benson is 7th with 1.5 steals per game. He is 9th with 3.5 assists per game.
* The top eight teams will qualify for the GSC Tournament. UWF currently sits in 10th, three games behind eighth-place West Georgia. The Argos meet the Wolves Feb. 9.
ARGOS LOOKING FOR SEASON SWEEP VS. WARHAWKS
* UWF men's basketball kept up its strong play at home, defeating Auburn Montgomery 88-78 Jan. 28 in the UWF Field House. Five players finished in double figures, and the 88 points were a season-high for the team.
* UWF put up 20 team assists, its most in a single game this season. The Argos held the Warhawks to 25 rebounds, a season-low for an opponent. The win was the third straight and fourth in the last five home games for UWF.
SCOUTING AUBURN MONTGOMERY
* AUM enters Monday's game 2-10 in GSC play and 6-14 overall. The team is 2-7 at home, 3-6 away and 1-1 on neutral floors.
* Three Warhawks are scoring in double figures so far this season. AUM is led by Carlos Bell, who has averaged 16.0 points per game. He also averages 7.2 rebounds per game.
* AUM was picked to finish 12th in the GSC in a preseason poll of conference coaches. Bell and Mikel Davis were chosen as the team's Top Newcomers.
* UWF is 5-1 vs. Auburn Montgomery since 2005. The Argos split a pair of games vs. the Warhawks in 2017-18, falling 73-70 at home Jan. 21 before avenging the loss with a 63-46 win Feb. 8 in Montgomery.
