PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF women's tennis team is in San Antonio, Texas this week and will have four tough matches ahead of them. The Argos will be facing off against No. 18 Southwest Baptist, No.4 Hawaii Pacific, Cameron, and No. 14 Midwestern State. The No.8 UWF Women's team will enter the weekend 4-3 overall and 4-1 in conference and 3-0 on the road. The matches will be played at Anne-Marie Tennis Center and Northside ISD Tennis Center.

The Argos will start off the stretch tomorrow March 13, in the morning at 10:30 am against No. 18 Southwest Baptist. SBU is 3-1 this season coming into their match against the Argos. They have two players nationally ranked including No. 11 Jill Van Den Dungen and No. 23 Kiara Vickov.

The next day the Argos will face No. 4 Hawaii Pacific. HPU is 6-2 overall but will be playing Indianapolis before the Argos.

On Friday, the Argos will play against Cameron who is 3-6 overall but is on a three game winning streak against three Colorado schools. CU has No. 5 Zhenia Shviadok, and No. 32 Sarah Frendo.

The final match of the week will be against No. 14 Midwestern State on Saturday. They are 5-0 overall and with one singles player ranked at No. 16, Maddy Coffman. The Mustangs will face Indianapolis before playing UWF.

West Florida is ranked No. 8 nationally and No. 2 regionally. The Argos have two players in singles ranked including Berta Bonardi, No. 1 in the nation and region. Karolina Silwanowicz is also ranked at No. 29 in the nation and No. 8 in the region. In doubles, Bonardi and Silwanowicz are ranked as a team at No. 20 nationally and No. 5 regionally.
