PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF women's tennis team is on their way to the Gulf South Conference Tournament in Montgomery, Ala. In the tournament the Argos are seeded second just behind West Alabama at No. 1.

West Florida is set to face No. 7 Montevallo in the first round starting on Thursday, May 2 at 1:30 PM CT. From there, the Argos would be playing the winner of Mississippi College and Alabama Huntsville on Friday, May 3 at 1:30 PM CT. The championship match will be the following day on Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 AM CT for the GSC Championship title.  

The Argos finished the regular season with a 17-8 overall record and 10-1 in conference. UWF ended the regular season sweeping their last four home GSC matches and ranked No. 7 in the region.

This weekend, the Men's and Women's team will have the opportunity to win the University of West Florida's 100th Conference Championship as we are currently sitting at 99 total. UWF Men's Golf brought home number 99 and hopefully tennis can bring home 100 and 101.
