The UWF men's basketball team will close its 2-game road swing as it opens a 3-game week on Monday night at Montevallo. The game at Trustmark Arena in the UM campus in Calera, Ala., will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
ABOUT UWF
* The Argonauts bring a 5-7 record and 2-3 Gulf South Conference mark following Thursday's road loss to Valdosta State. UWF is 5-3 in its last eight games. The team is 5-0 when scoring 64 points or more and 0-7 when failing to reach that magical number.

Jon Brown continues to lead the team in scoring (21.2 ppg), rebounding (7.2 rpg) and steals (11 total).
Cameron Cox leads the team in assists, totaling 38 for 3.2 apg.
Daniel Sofield is second in scoring with 9.7 ppg and leads the Argos with 32 3-pointers. 32 of Sofield's 38 baskets this year have come from outside.
ABOUT MONTEVALLO
*Â UM is 9-4 overall and in first place in the GSC at 5-0. The Falcons have won back-to-back overtime contests entering Monday's game. They shoot 44.9 percent per game and are 9-1 this season when shooting at least 41.5 percent from the floor.
* Wade Lowman leads a group of four players in double figure scoring with 16.5 points per game and also paces the team with 7.2 rebounds per game. Cedric Jackson and Xavier Malcom are the top outside threats for the Falcons, with each one making at least 23 3-pointers this season. They are the only two who have made more the four on the entire team.
SERIES HISTORY
* UM leads the series 22-13 overall and 16-4 in Montevallo. UWF has won three of the last four games since the Falcons rejoined the GSC. The Argos claimed a 69-66 road win in the the most recent meeting last February, snapping a 16-game road losing skid to the Falcons. UWF won the first three games played in Montevallo beginning with the 1995-96 season - the team's second as an NCAA member. The schools never played during UWF's NAIA time of sponsoring basketball from 1967-68 through 1972-73 or their first NCAA year of 1994-95.
UP NEXT
* UWF will return home to host the Mississippi schools Thursday and Saturday. Thursday's game against Delta State is a White Out night with all fans encouraged to wear white to the game. The first 100 students at both the 5:30 p.m. women's game and the 7:30 p.m. men's game will receive a free t-shirt.
