Argos Welcome UWG, Shorter To Town For Crucial GSC Series

UWF is in seventh place with six games remaining in the regular-season

ABOUT UWF
* UWF enters tonight's contest with a 10-11 overall record. The Argonauts are tied for seventh in the Gulf South Conference at 7-7 following their loss to West Alabama last week. After starting the season 1-5, UWF has gone 9-6 in its last 15 games.
* The Argos are 13th in the GSC in scoring with 63.9 points per game and third in scoring defense, allowing just 66.1 ppg. West Georgia Is 2nd in the GSC in scoring and 12th scoring defense.
* Jon Brown has scored in double figures 16 of his 18 games this season. He is third in the GSC with 18.5 ppg. He has done a lot of his damage at the free-throw line, where he is first in free throws made (111) and attempted (145), and is tenth in FT pct. (76.6).
* Tarik Mckelphin has continued his success over the last road trip averaging 10 ppg and 7.5 rpg. He is second on the team with 10.1 ppg, and is second on the team in rebounding with 5.4 rpg. He has scored in doubles figures ten times this year - all of those in the last 15 contests.
* Conor Flanagan had a solid two games at AUM and West Alabama last week, averaging 10.5 ppg while shooting 50% from the field over the two games.
* UWF is 7-3 at home this season and 38-12 in the last four seasons.

ABOUT WEST GEORGIA
* UWG is 6-14 on the year and are tenth in the GSC at 4-8. The Wolves are 5-5 on the road.
* Kovi Tate was UWG's leading scorer but was removed from the team following the first UWF-UWG game three weeks ago. Kadeim Jones and Seth Brown-Carter each average 15-plus points per game to lead the Wolves offense. Oronte' Anderson leads the team in assists (117) and steals (32), while scoring 11.7 ppg.

UWF-WEST GEORGIA SERIES HISTORY
* West Florida leads the series 15-14, winning six of the last seven with the most recent triumph coming on the road, 67-53, on Jan. 18 this season.
* UWF is 10-2 at the UWF Field House against the Wolves and has won three-consecutive following a pair of UWG wins in 2015 and 2016.
