PENSACOLA, Fla. – Former UWF baseball standout Brandon "BJ" Harmon passed away on Saturday night. He was 25 years old.

He was the example of all that encompasses being a student-athlete here at UWF and he will be dearly missed," UWF Head Baseball Coach
Mike Jeffcoat said.
Harmon was a native of Lawrenceville, Ga. and transferred to UWF for his junior season in the fall of 2016. The left-handed hitting outfielder appeared in 97 games with 95 starts in his two seasons as an Argonaut. He hit .322 with 81 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 57 RBI. He ended his career fifth in program history with 22 times being hit by pitch and seventh with 16 sacrifice bunts.
As a senior in 2018, Harmon hit .342 with 39 runs, nine extra base hits and 32 RBI. He finished with a .452 slugging pct. and a .438 on-base pct.
He graduated from UWF with a bachelor's degree in health care administration in May of 2018.
He began his college career at Valdosta State in the 2014-15 academic year before transferring to College of Central Florida for his sophomore season a year later.
Memorial service arrangements are being finalized.
