PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of West Florida Athletics Hall of Fame Committee has announced the 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Class.
 
Three former student-athletes, one special achievement, and a former men's golf team will be inducted into this year's class.
 
The former student-athletes include two women's basketball players, Katie Bobos and Toni Brewer, as well as volleyball player Autumn Duyn.
 
They are joined by the 2008 Men's Golf Team and Ray Palmer.
 
The induction ceremony is planned for Nov. 13 at the Darrell Gooden Center, Building 234 11000 University Pkwy, Pensacola FL. 32514. The Cocktail Reception will begin at 5 p.m. with the Induction Ceremony at 6 p.m.
 
 
Katie Bobos - Women's Basketball (2013-2017)
 
Katie Bobos was a member of the women's basketball team from 2013 to 2017. The Lowell, Ind. native was an essential pillar of one of the most successful eras in UWF women's basketball history.
 
In 2017, Bobos led the Argos to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the first time in program history, becoming the first player in program history to participate in three separate NCAA Tournaments and was named to the 2017 NCAA South Regional All-Tournament Team. She finished her career ranking among the program's elite offensive threats scoring a total of 1,362 points.
 
Bobo also excelled in the classroom, accumulating many academic awards including 2017 ADA Academic Achievement Award, 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District, 2016 ADA Academic Achievement Award, 2015-16 Academic All-Gulf South Conference, 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District, and 2015 ADA Academic Achievement Award.
 
Toni Brewer - Women's Basketball (2015-2019)
 
Toni Brewer anchored the women's basketball team from 2015-2019. The forward from Huntsville, Ala. built one of the most dominant individual careers in the history of Division II women's basketball during her time as an Argo.
 
Through her relentless scoring and interior presence, she put together an impressive list of accolades. In 2019, Brewer was named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year. During the 2016-17 season, Brewer received Women's Basketball Coaches Association and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-American honors as well as All-South Region 1st team honors while leading UWF to the programs first-ever South Region Championship.
 
Brewer finished her career with West Florida as the program's all-time leading rebounder and second all-time in points scored.
 
Autumn Duyn - Volleyball (2011-2015)
 
Autumn Duyn was a member of the volleyball team from 2011-2015. The Venice, Fla. native was the lone volleyball student-athlete in her decade to earn First Team All-GSC honors all four years of her career.
 
The outside hitter was named the GSC Player of the Decade (2010-2019) after the Argos won three straight GSC Championships from 2011 to 2013 and she was awarded the tournament's Most Outstanding Player in both 2011 and 2012. Duyn was nationally named an AVCA All-American in 2012 and 2015.
 
She concluded her time as an Argo being one of the only players in UWF history to cross the elite threshold of 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.
 
2008 Men's Golf Team
 
Under the direction of Head Coach Steve Fell, the 2008 Men's Golf Team won the NCAA Division II National Championship. The team turned in tremendous performances, receiving a plethora of awards throughout the 2008 season. The roster included Tobias Rosendahl, Otto Bonning, Kyle Scott, Matthew Galloway, Federico Damus, and Kevin Cooper.
 
In addition to the national title, the 2008 group finished number one in the nation in both the final Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches Poll and the final GolfStat rankings. Head Coach Steve Fell earned the prestigious GCAA National Coach of the Year Award.
 
The Argos team won seven tournament titles, including five wins in the last five tournaments of the season, setting a long-standing program record for the most team tournament victories in a single season and highlighting their impressive run to the national championship.
 
 
Ray Palmer - Special Achievement
 
Ray Palmer, President and CEO of Pensacola Sports for more than 25 years is a longtime partner of UWF Athletics. Palmer was instrumental in bringing major national events to the UWF campus, most notably the 2006 NCAA Division II Fall Festival. This massive event featured the national semifinals and finals for soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and cross country. Over the years, Palmer continued his strong partnership with UWF by helping host numerous other NCAA postseason events, including the Volleyball National Championships and both the Men's and Women's Soccer National Championships.
 
Palmer also worked with the Gulf South Conference to host the soccer championships here in Pensacola.
 
Additionally, Pensacola Sports donated $100,000 to the UWF Intercollegiate Athletics  during Palmer's tenure.
 
Outside of UWF, Palmer has made strides in bringing sports events to the Pensacola community including the SEC women's soccer tournament, the Sun Belt Conference basketball tournament as well as many others.
 
Palmer will be retiring from his role with Pensacola Sports in the fall of 2026.
