PENSACOLA, Fla. – In their second match in consecutive days, the West Florida Women's Tennis team picked up right where they left off yesterday taking down West Georgia 7-0 in today's match. This is the first 7-0 sweep the Argonauts have been able to achieve this season and puts them at 8-1 now in Gulf South Conference play.
Beginning with doubles play, the Argonauts continued their recent success winning from all three positions to secure the lone point for the seventh match in a row.

Sara Yigin were back at it again today from the No. 1 position and secured a 6-1 victory in their match.
Samantha Echevarria and
Karolina Silwanowicz won 6-0 from the No. 2 position to win their seventh match in a row as a pair. From the No. 3 position
Irene Recuenco and
Raissa Wagner won 6-3 to secure the clean sweep in doubles play.
Singles play saw much of the same for West Florida with five players winning in straight sets while the other picked up a victory via a retirement.
From the top half of the lineup, Bonardi won 6-0, 6-0 from the No. 1 position to improve to 13-2 on the season. At the No. 2 position, Recuenco picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory for her second consecutive win. To round out the top of the lineup, Yigin won 6-1, 6-2 from the No. 3 position to secure her eleventh win of the season.
In the bottom half of the lineup, Echevarria took down Perrine Blachon 6-1, 6-0 from the No. 4 position while Wagner won 6-0, 6-0 from the No. 6 position.
Mayumi Saguchi picked up her first UWF victory today as she was up 3-0 from the No. 5 position before her opponent retired.
This win now moves the Argonauts to 12-4 on the season and puts them in great shape heading into their final match of the regular season on Friday.

Derrick Racine stated. "We got in two good matches which were very important as we prepare for the conference tournament. I thought the girls played well all weekend, in doubles we are playing very well and in singles we have been great. Berta has been on fire and is doing a great job leading the team from the No. 1 position".
Next up for West Florida – The Argonauts will be back in action on Friday when Montevallo comes to town to make up the Mar. 25 match that was rescheduled due to rain. First serve will be at 10 AM from the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex as the Argonauts look to wrap up their regular season on a high note.
