PENSACOLA, Fla. – After a difficult weekend, the West Florida Men's Tennis team bounced back in an impressive fashion on Monday winning 6-1 over West Alabama. This victory moves the Argonauts to 12-4 on the season including a 6-1 mark in Gulf South Conference play which is good enough to lock up the No. 2 seed for the upcoming GSC Tournament.
In today's match the Argonauts came out swinging winning the lone doubles point for the eleventh match in a row and carried that momentum into singles winning five out of the six singles matches.

Gabriel Nery got back to their winning way picking up a 6-3 victory from the No. 1 position for their eleventh win as a pair.
Nicolas Lecoutre and
William Shkrob won their tenth doubles match in a
row winning 6-2 from the No. 3 position.
After securing the lone doubles point, West Florida then moved onto singles play where they received solid play from throughout the lineup to propel the Argonauts to the win.
From the top half of the lineup
Serdar Bojadjiev picked up a massive 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Christopher Bulus to hand him just his second loss of the season. Lecoutre, playing from the No. 2 position, also pulled out a three-set victory winning 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 in his match.
Juan Cabrera continued his dominance today winning 7-5, 6-4 to continue his unbeaten streak on the season.
Juan Motta headed up the charge from the bottom half of the lineup winning 6-4, 6-1 from the No. 5 position. The final victory of the day came from
Gabriel Nery who won 6-3, 6-1 playing from the No. 6 position.
Words from the Coach – "We really needed a win for our confidence," Head Coach
Derrick Racine stated. "We came out focused today and had a lot of good matches from across the lineup. Our doubles have been good all year and overall this is one of our better matches all season".
Next Up for West Florida – The Argonauts will play again at home on Friday when they take on Mississippi College for their regular season finale. First serve is scheduled for 11 AM from the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
