Robert and Karen Emmons have been loyal Argo supporters for over eleven years. Karen is a UWF Alumna and an integral part of the UWF Athletics team. Both she and Robert are Football Founders helping get the program its start. They exude Argo spirit and we could not do the things we do without them. Why do you give to UWF Athletics?
As Pensacola natives, Robert and I believe in giving back to our community and UWF Athletics is an integral part of the Pensacola Community. Athletics creates an opportunity for the community to come together in a family-centered environment.  

Why do you continue to give?
Giving is important no matter how small or large. We want the student-athletes at UWF to have the best experience possible. We have witnessed the growth in the University and in Athletics and we know that is takes funding to create opportunities. Our family has benefited from the University over the years and we hope our donations can pay it forward. I earned both my Bachelor and Master degrees from UWF. Our oldest daughter earned her Master degree from UWF and our other two daughters are earning their Family Nurse Practitioner degree from UWF. We hope that our donations will continue to enhance the Athletic programs and create opportunities for successful futures for our student-athletes. We feel good about giving to UWF and know that they are good stewards when applying donations. We hope our giving will encourage others to give.

What impact do you think your annual donations have on the UWF Athletic Department?
It is our hope that our donations have made an impact in the past, present, and future. As Football Founders, we realized the importance of getting a new program off to a good start. We witnessed firsthand the impact our donations had on the program and how those experiences spotlighted the University. We hope our donations will continue to make an impact in future Argos as funding is needed for general operations, facility upgrades, and scholarships.
 
What makes you passionate about UWF Athletics?
We love seeing and celebrating the success of our student-athletes. Having the privilege of attending 4 National Championship contests over the years emphasizes what a great culture UWF Athletics has created. The longevity of the coaching staff, administration, and the type of student-athletes that UWF recruits fosters a true buy in to supporting UWF Athletics.
