Ryan Brewer started on the mound for UWF and the right-hander cruised through the first four innings, keeping the Spartans off the scoreboard. However, UT's offense would find their footing later as they scored four in the fourth inning, six runs in the sixth inning, a run in the seventh and six more in the eighth. Brewer dropped to 6-3 on the mound in 2021 with the loss as he gave up six runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings.
