Box Score Winter Park, Fla.- The men's soccer team traveled on the road to Rollins this Friday afternoon for the first time in the 2021 season.
Both teams came into this matchup with the same record so far this season. Rollins came into this matchup winning their season opener to upset No. 6 Wingate University and tying Francis Marion. West Florida won their road opener to Tampa and tying Saint Leo this past weekend.Â
The Argonauts started off strong in the first half. Within the first two minutes, #7
Kainan Dos Santos scores a goal for the Argonauts to take the lead 1-0. In the first half, each team was granted its fair share of opportunities, but both defenses stood tall. Going into halftime, the Argos were up by one.
After halftime, the Argonauts continued to push ahead and they were finally able to breakthrough with #26

Ed Chappe was very aggressive offensively by having two assists to help the Argos extend their lead. In the 60th minute of play, #26

Jihad Gomes, had a total of three saves on the afternoon to keep the Argonauts ahead.Â
Finally, in the 80th minute of play, #12
Josiah Fontenot scored the fourth goal for the Argos to stretch the lead to 4-1. This is the second road win for West Florida. The Argos are set to have their first home game next Friday night.Â
