Valdosta, Ga- In the first conference game of the season the University of West Florida Women's Soccer team tied 0-0 in double overtime.The Argos are now 4-0-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in conference play.
During the first half of the game UWF outshot the Blazers 11-1 and picked up six corner kicks. The Argos saw shots from
Blair Cowan,
Brianna Pope,
Julia Comin and
Destiny Hammac.
The Argos once again limited their opponents shots throughout the first half with the Blazers only having one shot.
Charline Favier had one save during the first half.
In the second half of the game the Argos were limited to six shots and had a total of three corner kicks. The Argo defense once again put a stop to the Blazer offense and limited them to one shot.
With the score tied at zero at the end of regulation the Argos and Blazers went into overtime. After the first overtime the score remained 0-0.
During the second overtime both teams had the opportunity to score but neither could capitalize off their possessions.
Overall UWF outshot the Blazers 17-2 and had nine corner kicks compared to VSU's one.
The Argos will be back in action on Sunday, September 26 at 1 p.m against the University of West Georgia Wolves.
