Coming off a 2-1 weekend at the South Region Crossover, the No. 14 UWF women's volleyball team opens a 3-match road trip on Friday at Union in Jackson, Tenn.
The match will put the top two teams in the GSC standings on display as the Argonauts are 9-1 and the Bulldogs are 8-1. This will be the only regular-season meeting between the teams. On Saturday, UWF will take on Christian Brothers, who is tied for ninth at 2-7. The road swing concludes on Tuesday at Montevallo, who is in third place at 8-2. The Argos are 4-2 on the road this year and 4-1 in GSC arenas away from home.
ABOUT UWF
* UWF is 19-5 overall and ranked 14th in the AVCA Division 2 Top 25. The Argonauts are 9-1 in league play and have won their last five GSC matches after a 3-2 loss at Mississippi College.
* UWF is 4-1 in 5-set matches this season. The Blue and Green has won 10 of their 19 contests with a 3-0 margin and five others by a 3-1 score.
* The Argonauts rank 14th nationally with a .272 hitting pct. and 15th with 13.9 kills per set.

Taylor Vaneekeren averages 10.47 assists per set which places her 28th in the country.

Jenna Zydlo (14th in NCAA) is hitting .399 this season and moved up nine spots after she hit .487 in three matches last weekend.
Camila Vazquez (22nd in NCAA) has a .381 hitting percentage and
Avery Rodgers is at .305.
* At the net, Vazquez is fifth in the GSC with 0.83 blocks per set (69 total in 24 matches).

Jenna Zydlo was named to the All-Tournament Team and the GSC Offensive Player of the Week as she hit .487 over 12 sets with 41 kills, averaging 3.42 per set. She also had seven digs and nine total blocks.Twice she posting double-digit kills with 15 against Eckerd and 20 against Barry while swinging at a .667-clip. Her .667 figure on 30 attacks tied the UWF single-match record in a 5-setter and is the second-highest in Division 2 this season.
ABOUT UNION
* Union is 15-8 overall but has dropped their last three in the Crossover. Prior to that, the Bulldogs had gone 10-1 in their last 11.
* Union is third in the GSC with a .224 hitting pct. and first in opponent hitting pct, limiting the opposition to .153. They are also second in the GSC in blocks per set at 2.01.
SERIES HISTORY
* UWF is 14-1 all-time against Union, with a 6-1 mark in Jackson. The Argos have won the last six in the series and are making their first visit to Fred Delay Gymnasium since 2018.
ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
* CBU is 3-15 this season and enters the weekend on a 6-match losing skid. The Lady Bucs are last in the GSC in hitting pct and blocks, and seventh in digs.
