BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Fresh off winning numerous awards within the Gulf South Conference, the University of West Florida men's soccer team earned recognition on Friday for their hard work on the field with
Kainan Dos Santos receiving GSC Player of the Year and
Bill Elliott receiving GSC Coach of the Year.

Fynn Geigle were named to the GSC All-Conference First Team while
Keegan Ancelin and
Finn Werner earn GSC All-Conference Second Team honors.
In his 28
th season at the helm of the West Florida men's soccer team, Elliott earns his eighth GSC Coach of the Year honors. As head coach of UWF men's soccer, Elliott has compiled a record of 284-125-45 (.661). During his time at UWF, the Argonauts have won ten GSC championships, the most in conference history. West Florida have also made 19 appearances in the GSC Tournament and seven appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
For Dos Santos, this marks his second year being named to the All-GSC First Team and first year earning GSC Player of the Year. After making his presence known the past two season for the Argos, Dos Santos currently leads the conference and the team in shots (52), goals (10), and points (25). In his time as an Argonaut, Dos Santos was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team (only 11 DII men's soccer players get this award) and is the 3rd player in UWF soccer history to receive this honor. He was also named to the All-GSC All-Tournament team and D2CCA All-South Region First Team.
Freshman defender
Fynn Geigle is in his first year at UWF as he earns All-GSC First Team honors. The German native has had an impressive season for the Argos as he ties first in assists with five. Geigle has helped the Argos limit opponents to an average of 7.3 shots per game. The freshman has started and played all 15 games for the Argos with 1250 registered minutes.
Previously named GSC Freshman of the Year, Ancelin was named to the All-GSC Second Team on the season. The sophomore records the second most goals with five goals, two assists, 12 shots, and 22 shots on the season with two against Pensacola Christian on Sept. 6. As a freshman, he tallied the second most goals with 11 and he was named to the All-GSC First Team.
Finally, sophomore midfielder
Finn Werner rounds out the Argonauts in this year's GSC yearly awards, as he earns Second Team All-GSC honors. He has had an exceptional season with all 19 games started and played. He records 1172 minutes with two goals, one assist, five shots, and 18 points. Werner had one goal against Alabama Huntsville on Sept. 9 and Shorter on Oct. 9.
