PENSACOLA, Fla.- The No. 1 seed West Florida men's soccer team (11-2-3) hits the road for Huntsville, Ala. to face No. 5 seed Auburn Montgomery (8-5-3) in the Gulf South Conference Semifinals. The match will be at John Hunt Park on Thursday, Nov. 3. The game is slated for 3:30 p.m. (CST).

ABOUT UWF
The Argonauts are No. 11 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll Ranking, and No. 1 seeded in the GSC after being named regular season champions with a 10-2-3 overall, 8-0-3 GSC record. UWF has yet to lose to a GSC team this season.
West Florida received multiple major awards this season with forward Kainan Dos Santos and defender Fynn Geigle being named to the GSC All-Conference First Team. Forward Keegan Ancelin and midfielder Finn Werner earned GSC All-Conference Second Team honors. Head coach

To advance to the GSC Semifinals, UWF knocked out No. 8 seed SHC 2-0 on Sunday. The golden goal was taken by Werner in the 89
th minute to double the lead. This victory secured a spot for the Argos in the semifinals.
On the road, West Florida is 3-0-3 with a current five game win streak. This is the 16
th straight year the Argos have made it to the GSC tournament and third year making it to the semifinals.
Last season, UWF claimed the GSC title after a 2-1 victory over No. 4 seed Lee. The Argos look to continue their success as they take on the Warhawks on Thursday afternoon.
ABOUT AUM
The No. 5 seed Warhawks knocked out the No. 4 seed Montevallo on Sunday night for what was a battle between both squads. Leading scorer Philip Spickenbaum scored in the 27
th minute to put the Warhawks on the board first. The margin increased to two when Aristarchus Oluwatuyi came up with a goal off a pass by Logan Roach. AUM would go on to shut out the Falcons 2-0 to advance to the semifinals.
Auburn Montgomery is 8-5-3, 6-3-2 GSC record with a four-match win streak. Spickenbaum and Oluwatuyi lead the charge for the Warhawks as the two leading scorers. Spickenbaum was named to the All-GSC Second Team after leading the team in goals (6), points (13), and shots (25). Defenders Charlie Elliott and Jamos Hauk earned All-GSC Second team honors after their efforts holding down the Warhawk defense. AUM has held their opponents to an average of 9.3 shots per game.
UWF vs. AUM History
The last matchup between these two teams was Sept. 30 with the Argos earning the victory 2-1. In the 71
st minute, AUM defender Elliott was trying to clear the ball out of play from the UWF offense, but the ball was netted accidentally by Elliott. Midfielder Tom Preston scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute to claim the victory over the Warhawks.
