VALDOSTA, Ga.- On their first match of the weekend, the West Florida Men's Tennis Team couldn't pull it together to take down Sunshine State Conference power house No. 14 Lynn 4-2. The Argonauts drop to 12-3 on the season.

After dropping all three doubles points, the Argonauts were unable to keep their winning streak alive against a tough top-ranked Lynn team.
Facundo Bermejo and his partner Lluis Miralles Miro teamed up from the No. 1 pairing, dropping their match 3-6. Salvador Bandeira and Albin Ekenros tried to get the momentum going for the Argonauts from the No. 2 position, but ended up dropping 0-6.

Bernardo Costa and Pedro Cordeiro's match went unfinished 3-5 from the No. 3 position.

Singles play saw the Argonauts dropping three matches and winning two.

Juan Cabrera dominated in his usual fashion, being victorious in his match 6-4 ,6-4 from the No. 1 position. Bermejo's match went unfinished due to the Fighting Knights from the No. 2 position. Costa couldn't get the singles points going for the Argonauts after falling 4-6, 2-6 from the No. 3 position.

Sotelo secured the other singles point for the Argonauts from the No. 4 position, being victorious 6-3, 6-1.

Both Bandeira and Ekenros dropped their match from the No. 5 and No. 6 position. Bandeira fell 4-6, 5-7 while Ekenros dropped his match 6-7, 2-6. The Argonauts couldn't get the ball rolling against the Fighting Knights today.

"If we're going to compete against Columbus State tomorrow, we need to come out as a totally different team with a different mindset and ready to play," said head coach Derrick Racine.

On Sunday, play begins bright and early with West Florida squaring off against Columbus State at 11 AM (ET) in Columbus, Ga.
