LIVINGSTON, Ala.- The West Florida Women's Tennis Team was defeated 0-7 by No. 6 West Alabama on Sunday afternoon at the Vaughn Tennis Complex. The Argonauts fall to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
In doubles, the Argonauts fell from all three positions.
Nathalia Mossambani and Guiliana Succo fell 2-6 from the No. 1 position.

Mayumi Saguchi dropped their match 3-6 from the No. 2 position.
Irene Recuenco and
Raissa Wagner battled back and forth, but ultimately fell from the No. 3 position 5-7.
In singles, the Argonauts got some solid play from the top of their lineup but couldn't find that decisive victory to secure the victory on the day.
Sara Yigin started off the singles, but fell 3-6, 1-6 from the No. 1 position.
Irene Recuenco put up a hard fight, but dropped her match in a tiebreaker 2-6, 6-4, 2-6 from the No. 2 position.
Mayumi Saguchi's match was determined by a tiebreaker as well, but she fell 3-6, 6-3, 1-6 from the No. 3 position.
In the final three matches, Mossambani, Wagner, and Daud all battled hard, but ultimately came out on the wrong end in each securing the victory for West Alabama.

Derrick Racine said, "West Alabama has a very good team. The women's match was more competitive than it was at the indoor championships, so I'm proud of our girls for their fight."
