For the seventh-consecutive season the UWF women's volleyball program will begin their season hosting a multi-team event as hosts for this year's Springhill Suites Invitational. The fifth-ranked Argonauts welcome eighth-ranked  Central Missouri, Lees-McRae, Spring Hill and Wheeling for a 3-day invitational at the UWF Field House.

UWF opens play on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Wheeling, before facing Spring Hill on Friday at 11:30 a.m., Lee's-McRae at 4:30 p.m. and UCM on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Argos look to capitalize off an amazing season last year in which the Gulf South Conference champs finished 35-2 and a perfect 16-0 in the Gulf South Conference. Melissa Wolter enters her 21st season as Head Coach - 18th at UWF - and brings a 498-198 career record into the weekend.

About Central Missouri: Led by first year head coach Cailtin Peterson, the Central Missouri Jennies are coming off a 29-4 season in which the Jennies finished as MIAA regular season and tournament champions.

About Lees-McRae: Entering her second season as head coach, Abigail King and the Bobcats look to improve off of last years' 9-17 record.

About Spring Hill: Returning for her 13th as head Coach, Peggy Martin and the Badgers look to go for their fourth-consecutive SIAC Championship as they are coming off a 30-6 2021 season.

About Wheeling: Entering her 21st season as Head Coach, Christy Benner and the Cardinals are coming off a 29-6 season in which they won their ninth-straight Mountain East Conference Championship.
