PENSACOLA, Fla. - The 11th-ranked UWF women's volleyball team held it's first ever Silent Set Night match on Tuesday and defeated Valdosta State, 3-0.
After the straight sets victory with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-21, the Argos move to 9-3 on the season and 7-1 at home.
The UWF attack was highlighted by their 46-to-23 kill advantage over the Blazers. That balanced Argo attack was led by
Jenna Zydlo with 12 kills,
Avery Rodgers with 11 kills and Camilia Vazquez with seven. Also helping round out the effort were three players recording nine or more digs -
Meg Brackhan with 16,
Kierra Potts with 9 and
Taylor Vaneekeren with 9.
This win marks the tenth straight win for the Argonauts over Valdosta State on a streak that dates back to the 2016 season and notches the record versus the Blazers to 34-6 all time.
The Argos are back in action this Friday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time as they take on West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia.
