PENSACOLA, Fla. - After two-consecutive weekends on the road, the 14th-ranked UWF women's volleyball team returns home to the UWF Field House for a pair of matches this weekend. The Argonauts welcome Alabama Huntsville to town on Friday for the annual Black Out match, before Montevallo flies in on Saturday.
UWF comes into the matches this weekend with a 12-4 record and 4-1 in conference play on the season. The Argos continue to be one of the top offensive teams in the GSC as they rank first in hitting percentage (.269), assists per game (12.71), total kills (817) and kills per set (13.85).
Taylor Vaneekeren leads the way for the Argos as she continues to lead the GSC in assists with 623, which is 150 more than the next closest, and assists per set 10.56.
Jenna Zydlo (.390) and
Camila Vazquez (.373) lead the Argos offense as they are currently ranked first and second in hitting percentage in the GSC. The defense for the Argos is headed by
Avery Rodgers who ranks second overall in kills 133, and third overall in kills per set 2.96 in the Gulf South Conference.
Special Recognition:Â Prior to Fridays match, senior setter
Taylor Vaneekeren will be recognized for reaching career milestones of 3,000 assists and 1,000 digs earlier this season. Before the match on Saturday, UWF will honor UWF Hall of Fame Inductee Patricia Gandolfo, who starred at UWF from 2008-09 and was on the coaching staff from 2010-18.Â
About UAH: UAH enters the match with a 6-9 record, and a 2-2 record in GSC play. Leading the way for the Chargers this season is junior Gracie McGee who is currently seventh in Kills per game with a 2.77 average. Leading the defense for the Chargers is sophomore Zharia Hubbard who is averaging 0.98 blocks per game good for third in the GSC.

UWF-UAH History:Â The Argos hold a 28-6 overall record against the Chargers and come into Fridays matchup on a 3-game winning streak. UWF is 19-1 over the last 20 matches against UAH only dropping 8 sets total.
About Montevallo: UM enters Fridays match at Valdosta State riding a 10-game win streak with a 12-4 record season and a perfect 4-0 in GSC play which ranks them second in the conference standings. Leading the UM Falcons this season is junior Allie Dishman who currently second in points in the GSC and third overall in hitting percentage .352 only trailing UWFs Zydlo, and Vazquez. The defense for the Falcons is anchored by juniors Macy Martin, who ranks third in the GSC in kills per set 2.76, and Casey Hendrixson who leads all of GSC with 286 digs and digs per set with 4.93.Â

UWF-UM History: UWF leads the series with Montevallo 24-4 and comes into Saturday's matchup on a 22-match win streak against the Falcons. UWF is currently 14-1 against UM at home.
